Commanders vs Packers TNF
Both the Packers and the Commanders are coming off convincing Week 1 wins. Both teams have stayed relatively healthy so far. On paper, the Packers have the better roster, but that’s why we play the games. Parsons should be much more involved this week after having an extra week to get accustomed to the playbook, which could influence the outcome. With that in mind, I expect J. Daniels to use his legs frequently to neutralize Parsons and the Packers’ pass rush and stout front seven.
How the Commanders Win:
The Commanders’ path to victory is to establish the run and get the quick passing game going. J. Daniels can’t hold the ball all day—he needs to get the ball out quickly or use his legs to keep the defense honest. Terry McLaurin just held out and got paid, so he needs to make more than 2 catches for 27 yards in this game. On defense, they need to contain the Packers’ deep receivers and force the ball into Jacobs’ hands at least 20 times.
How the Packers Win:
If you’re a Packers fan, this is one of those games where a back-to-back win over playoff teams to start the season should have you thinking Super Bowl or bust. If Jordan Love maintains his current level of play and their front seven performs like they did against Detroit, I don’t see how they lose this game.
